Hello, and happy Friday!
Thanks for the lovely comments on my Amaryllis growing prowess,
although I don't deserve them.
It's the husband, you see, who remembered to water it.
(But not over water it, obviously.)
Unbelievably, we are heading for the end of another
month, so it must be time to show you my monthly makes.
Necessity has kept me going this month, as I had a swap to make for.
I crocheted this rose brooch, using the pattern from
Nicki Trench's Super Cute Crochet.
And then I made my stash of mini crochet hearts into a string of bunting.
Bit sorry to part with these so might make some more!
More necessity, birthdays at the stitch'n'bitch group this time.
On the left, another mini heart made into a brooch this time.
It went home that evening attached to the recipients cardigan.
(These mini hearts are from an Attic 24 pattern.)
On the right, a hanging heart in blue Rico cotton dk - the colours have come out badly
on this photo.
I think that this pattern came from The Royal Sisters.
And lastly, a lovely and hugely talented lady from the stitch'n' bitch
group is moving house to the other side of the world.
As a farewell gift, a wall hanging was planned made of individual squares
showing the months of the year.
I got September and decided on apples and pears.
This is my contribution - I did not get to see the finished item but hopefully there will be a photo
of it somewhere.
I really enjoyed hand-sewing this and am planning on doing some more at some point.
It was rather lovely and restful
not to be battling my temperamental sewing machine!
March brings rather a lot of birthdays, so that will keep me busy
but luckily one of them is mine!
Off for a blog hop now....
Dawn
x
PS. Thanks for your Book Day dress-up ideas - no decision has been made yet and I may or may not show you what I decide on!
