Not the cheapest everyday bag on the market, but The Cambridge Satchel Company Leather Satchel is one of the more interesting for your dapper man about town.

Basically, an old school satchel, albeit one that is a little bigger than the kids' variation. This one is 30cm (h) x 38cm (w) x 10cm (d) and made of real leather, rather some imitation plastic finish.

Detailing includes a top handle, fold over opening, contrast flap openings, address holder, large main compartment, small front compartment and an adjustable contrast shoulder strap.

Various colours available, £138 is the price.

Linen Covered Picnic Basket

Lift your spirits and get ready for the sun with this linen covered picnic basket.

Yes we know we're being a little optimistic by posting this but surely a month of rain must mean the sun is on its way some time soon. And when it does appear we'll be ready with beautiful items like this to hop into the nearest green space for a picnic. The basket is wicker and covered with a pretty vintage fabric and you can choose from either a re-worked antique French print or and ecru gingham linen which is woven in Britain. Even better, the baskets are made by a family in Indonesia allowing them to put a first generation through university.
You can choose from duck egg blue posy, ivory posy and ecru gingham and each costs £38 from Not On The High Street.
